OBYC Guards Reign Victorious in “Pat Daley Classic” Lifeguard Tournament

In one of the most anticipated events of the summer for our community, the “Pat Daley Classic” Lifeguard Tournament was held again this past weekend.

The tournament welcomed 9 teams to compete across 7 different events and saw our hometown Lifeguards capture 1st Place Overall in dominating fashion, having taken 1st in 6 of the 7 events.

“This one means more to us that any other tournament,” said Lifeguard Co-Captain Michael Barrett.  “We compete at a completely different level under that marquee.”

Celebrating his 25th year Lifeguarding, Co-Captain Marc DeLorenzo added, “Every person on our team channeled their own ‘Mike Newman’ for this Tournament and made sure to do the Bullhorn proud.”
