OBYC Seeking Board Applicants; Steve Mangeri Resigns

Ocean Beach & Yacht Club is sad to report that Steve Mangeri has resigned from his position on the OBYC Board of Governors. While Steve promises to continue being an integral volunteer to the community, his thriving business has forced him to divert his attention for the time being.

Steve has served on the Board for the better part of the decade, having had a hand in the progress of several different Committees.  Most recently, he chaired the Improvements and Marina Committees.  His contributions to the Club rival the best – as he’s donated his professional expertise as an HVAC technician on multiple occasions during his tenure.

With Steve’s departure, a new spot on the Board of Governors has opened up.

Those interested in applying for this role should fill out a Board Candidate Profile no later than January 7th, 2022 for consideration.   An interview process will be held with all qualifying applicants.

A decision on a replacement candidate will be made by the current Board, pursuant to the By-Laws, for our February 2022 meeting.
