July 19, 2024 - The 2024 local beaches Lifeguard Tournaments have begun. Normandy Beach hosted the first tournament this evening. There were nine teams competing in seven events. Our OBII lifeguards did very well in the first tournament placing third overall.

July 20, 2024 - Silver Beach hosted the local beaches lifeguard tournament. There were six teams competing in six events. Our OBII lifeguards took FIRST PLACE!!! Congratulations to all of our OBII lifeguards.

In the evening of July 24, 2024, OBII hosted its annual Ironman/Ironwoman individual lifeguard competition. Over 50 local beaches lifeguards participated and competed in six events. Those events were: Swim, Paddle, Run, Kayak, Row, and Beach Flags. In the end, lifeguard Matt B of OBII was crowned Ironman, and Sam B of Seaside Park was crowned Ironwoman.

On July 27, 2024 OBII hosted its annual Pat Daley Classic Lifeguard Tournament. Nine local beaches lifeguard teams competed in seven events. Our OBII lifeguards took first place. Congratulations to all our OBII lifeguards for a job well done!!!

OBIII hosted its local beaches lifeguard tournament on Saturday August 03, 2024. There were seven teams competing in five events. Our OBII lifeguards took Second Place!!! Congratulations to all of our OBII lifeguards.

On August 11, 2024 Chadwick Beach hosted their local beaches lifeguard tournament. There were six teams competing in six events. Silver Beach took first place but there was a tie for second place between OBII and Chadwick Beach. The two team Captains decided to have a tie-breaker event, a 4-Man Run Relay. Our OBII lifeguards won the tie-breaker event and took Second Place!!! Congratulations to all of our OBII lifeguards!!!

Seacrest Beach hosted their local beaches lifeguard tournament on August 16. There were nine teams competing in six events. The waves added some excitement to the competition events. This was the last lifeguard tournament of the 2024 local beaches season and our OBII lifeguards rose to the occasion. Our OBII lifeguards took FIRST PLACE!!! Congratulations to all of our OBII lifeguards.
