In this section, you’ll find details involving the Improvements process at Ocean Beach & Yacht Club.

Improvement applications are required for the following:

  • Demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new dwelling.
  • To raise an existing structure
  • Remodeling of an existing structure when the foot print is enlarged or the total amount of the work encompasses more than 50% of the structure.

* There is a fee of $250 for each of the above.

  • Bulkhead and Dock replacement and or repairs.
  • Fence installations.
  • Installation of a storage shed.

* There is no fee for the above.

Notification of the Improvements Committee is required prior to the following:

  • Replacement of a roof.
  • Installation of new siding.
  • Replacement of windows.

* There is no fee for the above.

In the event of an emergency a homeowner may apply for permission to make a minor repair during the summer season. (Examples are a failed air conditioner, broken window, broken storm door and similar tasks.)
