In this section, you’ll find details involving the Improvements process at Ocean Beach & Yacht Club.
Improvement applications are required for the following:
- Demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new dwelling.
- To raise an existing structure
- Remodeling of an existing structure when the foot print is enlarged or the total amount of the work encompasses more than 50% of the structure.
* There is a fee of $250 for each of the above.
- Bulkhead and Dock replacement and or repairs.
- Fence installations.
- Installation of a storage shed.
* There is no fee for the above.
Notification of the Improvements Committee is required prior to the following:
- Replacement of a roof.
- Installation of new siding.
- Replacement of windows.
* There is no fee for the above.
In the event of an emergency a homeowner may apply for permission to make a minor repair during the summer season. (Examples are a failed air conditioner, broken window, broken storm door and similar tasks.)
