It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of long-time member and year-round resident Bruce Anderson at the age of 71. Although often soft-spoken, Bruce had a huge personality and an even bigger heart.
He frequently volunteered at all of our Ocean Beach events, most notably being ones of the patriarchs of the Memorial Weekend Picnic Crew. Bruce never came empty-handed, and was notorious for bringing the fresh kielbasa!
Bruce was the type of person who would have the kitchen laughing endlessly – sometimes so hard, it would hurt! He remembered everyone’s name and your unique story – and often reminded some of the young guys about the importance of family.
Bruce’s presence and genuine sincerity will be dearly missed.
