Norman Gee passed away this week. Ginny Nacamu shared her memories of Norman.
I have been friends with Norman since we were 14.
Norman grew up on East Dune a house in from ocean way. As a teen he had a boat at the Gull Lane marina. He met his sweetheart AnneMarie here at OB2. As young married couples we all hung out. After their son Ryan was born Anne Marie or Ammo came down with MS.
After his dad sold the house on Dune they rented here and there and then bought the house on 3209 Helm Road. He was a surveyor by trade. They eventually moved from Nutley to the shore full time.
I remember him best for his devotion to caring for Ammo as her disease progressed. It was a true Ocean Beach love story. May he rest in peace.
