OB2 Mourns the Loss of Gloria O’Reilly, Long-time Resident & Member

We at Ocean Beach 2 are sad to announce the passing of long-time resident & member Gloria O’Reilly this past weekend.  Gloria was a wonderful woman who spent countless years contributing to our community’s special events and will surely be missed by us all.  Her Obituary, as published in the Star Ledger, can be seen below.

Gloria O’Reilly (nee Curry), 91, passed away at Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, from 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River, N.J. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, N.J. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com. Born in Newark, N.J., Gloria and husband Eugene Francis O’Reilly lived in Newark, N.J., before moving to Maplewood, N.J., and then Ocean Beach II, Lavallette, N.J. Gloria was the vice president in charge of operations of the international department at First Union Bank when she retired. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Anna (nee Yaeck) Curry; her husband, Eugene O’Reilly, and her sister, Ann Zenk. She is survived by her children, Gloria and Robert H. Spence, James H. and Judy O’Reilly; grandchildren, Robert and Jennifer Spence, Carolynn Spence and Timothy Symonds, Jill and Timothy Stolzenberger, Jamie and Robert Kuhne, Jennifer O’Reilly; and her great-grandchildren, Owen Spence, Jeffrey and Katie Stolzenberger, Taylor and Suzie Kuhne and Bessie O’Reilly.
